Iā€™m not opposed.

Hope it works well. And considering their previous work with Lou Reed, Maryanne Faithful, Lang Lang etc, I think it is fair to think MetallicA are open to this kind of thing.

At least they arenā€™t afraid to do something different.

I say itā€™s a good thing.

Like I said in the other threadā€¦ Iā€™m not even a Gaga fan and I approve. Iā€™m glad they do things like this and it might end up being cool. If it sucks, whatever. Itā€™s a one-time thing.

Feel there should be another option added to the pool.

depending on what song they do and how it works out it can either be pretty decent or horrible.

At least she can play the piano and have a good voice. So I feel it is a bit to harsh to disapprove just because she is Lady Gaga when we donā€™t know anything else.

I didnā€™t like her medley of Bowie last year, I donā€™t know what this is going to be.

Like the movie, s&m, Lulu, Lang Lang and many, many other things they do it could be either a train wreck or a masterpiece. I for one am glad the band takes chances, even odd ones because it keeps things fun for us and them. I donā€™t care for Lady Gaga but I think itā€™s a cool idea.

Iā€™m hopeful and looking forward to it. Lady Gaga, as others pointed out in the other thread, is very respectable as an artist. I donā€™t listen to her all that much, so I wouldnā€™t consider myself a ā€œfanā€ of hers necessarily, but she does have a lot of talent. If weā€™re going solely based off past collaborations, the ones with Lang Lang and Lou Reed, then ehhhh, Iā€™m not sure. Hopefully whatever they come up with sounds good. I have slight skepticism just based on those past performances/works. Of course, Metallica has done live stuff with other artists, like during the anniversary shows and whatnot, but Iā€™m more pointing towards, I guess, the ā€œunlikely pairā€ performances, with S&M being a huge exception, obviously.

I am only interested in the Grammyā€™s because of this.

More I think about it, I am picturing Halo on Fire sung by Gaga. Showcases new album, show cases Metallicaā€™s softer side, which will win over more fans.

Then flip to a hard edge, metal sound for Poker Face.

Definitely approve. Iā€™m all for experiments and doing something outside the box. We can see whatever song(s) they play a million times in other shows, so itā€™s great to see it done differently. If it doesnā€™t work out, well, still definitely worth a shot.

Bringing in such a talented artist to perform with them should be very interesting and fun to see.

I ā€˜approveā€™ but Iā€™m not sure if it will work for me.
I enjoy her music quite a bit, but then again, I enjoy Lou Reed and Velvet Underground too. That didnā€™t work out too well.
definitely 2 great talents, intrigued to see what happens
